Hello!
My name is Devon Hoyt and I am the Social Services Program Coordinator at William Temple House.
I am also a recent graduate of Portland State University’s School of Social Work. My passion for helping people navigate resources, and a deep interest in examining the impact of social determinants of health brought me to William Temple House. I believe that people must have a sense of security and support in order to become their best selves, and William Temple House’s mission gives me the opportunity to bear witness to each person’s unique spirit.
William Temple House’s Social Services fulfill immediate needs that keep people housed and fed. My daily work and values fall in line with WTH’s belief that “it is critical for families to have their basic physical needs met. Focusing on long-term planning and solutions is difficult for people who are under clothed or underfed”.
I am excited for this opportunity to work for such a caring organization!
