Join us in celebrating Nick’s 18 years of service to William Temple House and our community.
Dear Friends,
I write to share some difficult news. Recently we made the decision to eliminate the daytime receptionist role, which Nick Corbin has held, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As many of you know, Nick has been furloughed since the spring, and has been laid off from the receptionist position. While we continue to have limited food pantry hours, the Social Services department will rotate the duties among their team.
I want to thank Nick Corbin for his 18 years of service to William Temple House and every person who has walked through our doors. Throughout his tenure at WTH, Nick worked with thousands of individuals: staff, volunteers, visitors, interns, contractors, clients – and he has become well-respected and beloved by many in our community.
We thank Nick, who will be missed, inquired about, and celebrated for years to come. We are planning a Zoom farewell party for Wednesday, November 18th at 6pm that I hope you will all be able to join. We will also be putting together a “memory book” of reflections for him and hope that you will contribute your thoughts and well wishes to Nick.
If you have any questions about these changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Sincerely,
Carrie Hoops
Executive Director
