There’s a good reason the William Temple House Thrift Store is one of Portland’s best-loved resale shops. Located at 2230 NW Glisan, the Thrift Store’s specialties include quality clothing, housewares, furniture, books, and more at bargain prices. Find new-to-you treasures and recycle your goods when the time comes by donating them back to the Thrift Store. The proceeds from your purchases and donations directly support our client services. We even schedule furniture donation pick ups!
#5 – Volunteer
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our agency. The work we do would not be possible without the 200+ individuals and groups who generously give their time each year in support of our mission. Volunteer opportunities range from one-time roles to weekly shifts, including behind-the-scenes sorting at the Thrift Store and assisting clients in our food pantry.
