Staff Reflections

“2020 was a very challenging year for the people we serve, our staff and everyone in this community. Nobody was untouched. Yet we rallied to get essential services to the individuals and Families that need them the most. I am in awe of our resilience!”

—Carrie Hoops, Executive Director

“I am so excited to join such a fantastic team of dedicated clinicians who volunteer their time and resources to support our community’s mental health needs. I have been most struck by the uniqueness of our program’s design. It’s rare to find a program that provides such excellent clinical care and incredible supervision and training for the next generation of therapists. I’m so proud of the work we do and feel incredibly lucky to get to lead this gem of a program!”

—Brooke White, LCSW, Director of Training & Clinical Services

“The Thrift Store continues to be a vital source of funding for the services offered by William Temple House by providing quality household goods, furniture, and clothing at affordable prices. Sales from the Thrift Store fund our overall mission while also keeping reusable goods in circulation within our community.”

—Alicia Ellingwood, Thrift Store Director

“The last year was chaotic and challenging for everyone but especially for the most vulnerable among us. Services and social supports have dwindled, but we have done our best to be there for clients and to attempt to match their incredible resilience. Though the work has been difficult and unpredictable, I have never been more proud of the staff, volunteers, and clients that I work alongside.”

—Kevin Ryan, Director of Social Services

“Volunteers are critical to William Temple House’s ability to provide social services and low-cost mental health counseling to individuals and families in our community! In these uncertain times, volunteers are more important than ever and make a huge impact on those who come to us for a helping hand.”

—Cliff Johnson, Director of Volunteers & Outreach

“The generosity of our community this past year has been overwhelming. Because of you William Temple House stands strong to serve our community. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you!”
